Guardian Healthcare is a nursing service provider for elders at home. The main users for this website are elder patients, nurses and administrators. To make the website very friendly to elders who may have reduced physical capacity, I initially considered about Squarespace or Wix platforms for their easy to manage nature. But after reviewing the complex website structure the owner preferred not to change; I reckoned that WordPress would be the practical option. In this project, I also constructed different DNSs for their tax purpose. Aiming to improve customer experience, I provided follow up training to the company’s marketing manger on website functions including data collections, job applications, PayPal payment, translation and content updates.
The original website had a plain blog style, where contents were not organized by columns and no call to action (CTA) was built in. The owner wanted to upgrade the website but would like to keep the information structure. After reviewing the personas, I understood the owner’s desire. To build a user friendly website, I created illustrated large buttons on the homepage for common functions, and also modified the services with CTA options to increase sales. On the banner, I used diagonal color to enhance the readability and appearance.
